METALLOGRAPHY & FAILURE ANALYSIS

Metallography is the study of a materials microstructure. The analysis of a materials microstructure reveals the nature of the metal it self & the flaws that causes its failure. This becomes significant factor for determining product reliability and detecting why a material failed. We can offer this services to our clients to aid them in determining the identification of materials and to Help in the analysis in the event of Failure of materials subjected to use.

On-site metallography usually performed as additional to NDT just in case customer wish more further analysis. Utilizing portable equipments and tools, we can do the data collection on site. Microstructure survey for critical components such as, Boilers, Pipelines, vessels, & other highly stressed components and for condition monitoring and health assessments. Its purpose is to find out in-service degradation of critical components of process plants operating under high temperature / high pressure / corrosive atmosphere.
